Take ‘em to the train station; A Yellowstone season 5 part 2 Review

It’s been awhile since a tv show captivated me. I have missed a few, I loved Parenthood, This is Us and A Million Little Things to name a few, but Yellowstone is on a whole other level for me. After almost a 2 year hiatus, this show finally returned. I wondered after being off the air for so long, if people lost interest, but then I read that this show had the biggest premiere night audience ever with 16.4 million viewers. Many woman tune in because of the attraction to the characters Rip & Kasey, I personally don’t find Rip that attractive, Kasey is more handsome in my opinion but physical appearances aside, I love the characters they play.

I like many, am so disappointed that Kevin Costner is no longer playing the role of John Dutton but holy crap, Taylor Sheridan as Beth Dutton played her role magnificently. I as well as my husband, cried from the first scene of the premiere this week to the scene of her screaming in the field and then when she was able to collapse into Rip’s arms, shattering her bad ass image and showing vulnerability. Her acting skills are top notch. Her scream and pain you felt in your soul. Here it is 5 days after the second part of season 5 premiere and I’m still thinking about it and looking forward to the next episode on Sunday. Another actress I need to mention is Jennifer Landon who plays Teeter. Of course I had to watch her close as soon as her character joined the show because any one who knows me, knows my undying crush on her late father Michael Landon. Physically, Jennifer is a beautiful combination of both of her parents but the show makes her butchy and kind of scummy with the make up. Her acting skills are very convincing as her accent and speech can drive a person crazy. She sounds like she is chewing marbles. I am sure if her dad was here, he would be extremely proud.

There are many other actors/characters that are note worthy but the fore mentioned are the ones who stand out to me.

If you are part of the minority that doesn’t watch Yellowstone, do yourself a favor and binge watch the 4 previous seasons, from the beginning. Season 5 sadly is the last, I’m already bummed about that, but at the same time, so excited about what will happen in the next 12 episodes.
